What Is Exciting About GPhone?
Google is coming out with a competitor for the iPhone. The GPhone has many fascinating features, such as a high tech interface that is cutting edge. This software is independent of any platform and can work on any hardware. It is also going to be a GPS cell phone that has software from SiRF Technology. This is not a garden variety GPS system, rather this is a system imbedded into the handset by way of microchips. The GPhone will also have a light weight browser built into the phone. One that loads without all the lengthy wait times of other browsers will be a big plus to the GPhone.
The OS of Opera has been mentioned as a possible browser for the GPhone. It has tough competition from Apple iPhone. With the introduction of TI chips, this phone has the capacity of video and audio playback as well as 2D and 3D gaming graphics. This phone will also have the capacity for using real speech recognitions as opposed to voice dialing. VoCon Mobile from Nuance Communications fits the bill nicely as it will also support menu navigation as well as voice commands.
The GPhone will also have a touch screen similar to the iPhone. This gliding touch screen will be comparable to the iPhone as well as have the same sensitivity on the touch screen. Synaptics will be the company that handles this for the GPhone. This company also allows the GPhone to content with Apple about music and video playing. This will give iPhone a run for the money. The GPhone will also have a VCAST like music and video at a touch. The GPhone will also have a built in gaming graphics card by NVIDIA. This means that the GPhone can be used as a handheld gaming device.
That being said, the new GPhone will have the Android system and will be sold by T-Mobile for around $179 for a two year contract. The G1 also complements the screen with a physical keyboard. There is also a similar trackball to the Blackberry on this phone. This phone is also tied into the Google applications. While it may not be as sleek as the iPhone, it still feels good in the hand and the software applications open via tabs and are responsive to touch. The browser has the same open source activity as iPhone, but works differently.
This phone has two email programs, Google and another for other email services. There are also instant messages. It also has a copy and paste function and MMS program. It also gives you more flexibility when organizing your screen. This has also Wi-Fi capabilities, Bluetooth and GPS capabilities. The G1 has a removable battery unlike the iPhone. This is a powerful device which will offer an alternate in the handheld computing category previously occupied by iPhone. So if you are looking for a cost effective way to beat the iPhone, then the GPhone is the phone for you. Come see what the fuss is about.

I wouldn’t mind paying for it, but if they are going to track what you do, then I’m not sure if I want to get the phone now.
