AT&T Apple iPhone is a smash hit

When the Apple iPhone was first introduced in the year 2007, everyone recognized it as the new latest multimedia smart phone of the year. With so many applications and cool new features, Apple iPhone gained so much popularity among mobile phone users. The iPhone is sold with a locked SIM that can be unlocked by switching to AT&T carrier through the Apple website.

The introduction of iPhone has led to a large increase in customer base for AT&T as AT&T is the only authorized carrier of the Apple iPhone. Within a year of release, about 2.3 million iPhones were sold out. During the third quarter of 2008, Apple introduced iPhone 3G with AT&T as the authorized carrier. Consumers picked up this phone quite well and increased the sales of iPhone to 6.89 million during the last quarter of 2008 alone. In the year 2009, over 8 million iPhones were sold in the first two quarters alone. AT&T still continues to ride at the top of the iPhone wave despite the speculations that Apple is talking with Vodafone to make it an authorized carrier.

The iPhone is now popular among Americans who want a cool phone that helps them show off as those who keep up with the technical improvements. With iPhone, you don’t need to have separate devices to make calls, take pictures, listen to music, get navigation help and organize your schedules. iPhone provides all types of features that you need in the present world. With a single gadget, you can make calls at any time, download and hear your favorite songs and watch your movies on the go, use the navigator and organizer for personal as well as official purposes. Even first time cell phone buyers wanted to own an iPhone.

As AT&T is the only authorized carrier for the iPhone, many more customers have joined the AT&T network after buying iPhones. Moreover, iPhone is a GSM mobile and AT&T is one of the best providers for GSM phones. Even when you travel abroad, you can use your iPhone with AT&T provider as AT&T provides services to several countries. AT&T provides a number of services necessary and essential for iPhone users. You have to download iPhone applications from the Apple website and use AT&T services to take advantage of the applications. Apple has released several cool new applications that take full advantage of high-speed Internet mobile connectivity provided by AT&T.

Apple has slashed down the price of iPhone with the introduction of iPhone 3G. Many people including those in the lower income group have also expressed interest in switching to iPhone. This is valid because iPhone is not just a phone. With tons of applications and AT&T carrier features, it is no surprise that iPhone is a popular phone.

When a product is popular, hackers will certainly show interest in making money hacking the product. On some illegal stores, you can find unlocked iPhones at double the actual price. However, when you buy these phones, you won’t be able to use the AT&T features and the warranty of the phone is not valid.
